forest green city bag
We have a Motorcycle city bag for sale from fall winter 2012, with supple forest green lambskin and studded hardware, lightweight luxury that's effortless.
During preparation for the Balenciaga 2000 collection, Ghesquière designed and produced a sample of the 'city bag,' intending it to be nothing more than a runway accessory. But somehow, some way, Kate Moss got her hands on one, and when an it-girl gets her hands on a bag, word of a new it-bag quickly follows.
The city bag officially launched in 2001 under the name 'the Lariat' (a lariat is a looped rope), a nod to the long leather tassels on its zip pulls. However, because of it's distinct laidback silhouette and unconventional hardware, the public gave it a nickname of its own: 'the Motorcycle bag.'
Amid a paradox of choice in what bag to invest in, it only makes sense to return to the roots, to an era defining piece.
CONDITION: good pre-loved condition. Inconspicuous colour scuffing throughout including the four corners of the bottom (very usual for motorcycle bags as they were made to wear in!) Some fraying points on the side straps and a tiny pink colour stain on the front trim. Inner lining has some stains but overall clean.
